Band – Easy Pete & the Early Pearls (BE)

Easy Pete and the Early Pearls (BE) bring an irresistible mix of swing, early R&B and groove. They take you back to the golden days of Earl Bostic and Louis Jordan, mixed with the atmosphere of Fats Waller and cult classics. Led by singer and double bassist Pieter Mortier, the quartet creates a sound that is raw, playful and danceable at the same time. Whether you dance lindy hop or blues, with Easy Pete it’s always a party.

Elle Brenecki (AU)

Hailing from Australia and now Berlin-based, Elle has been exploring dance from an early age, dabbling in various styles. However, discovering Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz was when she felt most inspired, especially drawn to the conversational nature of jazz and the freedom it offers. In Berlin, Elle runs Jam Haus, a dance project primarily focused on authentic jazz as well as bridging jazz to other dance communities. She finds a lot of joy investing time in her community, regularly collaborating with local schools and cultural events, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together.

Asael Muñoz (MX)

Originally from Mexico and now based in Berlin, Asael draws inspiration from self-expression, shared spaces, and storytelling through movement, which have fueled his dedication to exploring this African American art form over the years. He has a deep love for rhythms, and his passion for learning about Jazz culture and values has also inspired him to explore his own roots further, preserving Latin American influences in his art while uncovering their connections to Jazz.

Marion Berens & Stephan Jay (DE)

Marion and Stephan have been devoted to Lindy Hop and solo jazz since 2009. They choreograph performances for themselves and others, continuously expand their skills by learning from role models and actively teach to grow the swing dance community in Cologne.

Denise
Denise started DJing in 2017 at a social dance in Die hängenden Gärten von Ehrenfeld, playing all her favorite songs. Since then, she’s been a regular DJ at local Swing and Blues events, mixing classic and modern swing, energetic and soulful tunes, hits and rare versions. She also teaches Collegiate Shag and enjoys dancing to faster music.

Hot Soup
Dancer, DJ and party maker, Hot Soup/Randy knows what gets people moving and creates the good vibes. His soulful sets blend swing and various jazz styles. From festivals like Herräng and Dragon Swing to The Night Train in Cologne, which he founded. Hot Soup brings people together through music and dance.

Lindy Hop Intermediate (3h) Elle & Asael , Marion & Stephan
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop more than 6 months, attending social dances. You know essential moves and easily mix them (tuck turn, pass by, swing out, circle, send out).

Lindy Hop Advanced (3h) Elle & Asael , Marion & Stephan
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop for a while, attending social dances and workshops regularly. You know essential moves and easily mix them within various tempos (tuck turn, pass by, swing out, circle, send out) and concepts like lead/follow, rhythm and styling.

Solo Jazz Open Level (2h) – Elle & Asael
Time to reconnect with the roots of authentic jazz, making your exploration more meaningful, authentic and playful. This workshop welcomes both beginners and experienced dancers, offering depth to enrich any level of experience.
